Review (by Malcolm Storey)A guide to identifying damselfly exuviae and live well-grown larvae. There is no dichotomous key, but the "quick guide" on p22-23 offers life-sized illustrations which quickly take you to the correct group.
Examine with x8 or x10 hand lens ( Stereo Microscope is also useful)
Specimen PreparationSome exuviae may need cleaning in vinegar.
Identification difficultyRather more difficult than dragonfly larvae/exuviae, not least becoause of their smaller size and greater fragility.
